When do you consider a job to be ‘urgent’?

Anything you request to be delivered within 24 hours is considered urgent and will incur an additional charge. The same applies to translations with longer deadlines, but that are also very long. For example, a 10,000-word translation in four days.

What is your delivery turnaround?

Usually 3 days per 1,000 words. However, this depends on my current workload and the nature of the translation and localisation. If there is a dossier to study first to understand the project, it may take time.

What do you need in order to give a quote?

All the material you want me to translate and localise, as well as information about the project.

When do you consider a quote to be ‘accepted’?

When you send me the signed quote and contract, or indicate your confirmation of the order and acceptance of the contract by email. In addition, new clients must pay 50% of the amount in advance to confirm and reserve my time. In the case of long projects, payments in instalments will be required.

What payment methods do you accept?

Bank transfer. If the transaction is subject to fees, the client will be responsible for the full amount.

Do you treat the documents and information you receive as confidential?

I treat all the background information you provide me with, as well as the documents you send me, as confidential in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.

Do you use machine translation or AI tools to translate?

No, I do not. I use tools for translators (also known as computer-assisted translation or CAT tools), as they allow me to create translation memories so I can maintain consistency for each client. However, I am the one who translates and I am in control of my work at every step.
